The role involves delivering mechanical designs for plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems on government projects, requiring strong knowledge of DoD standards and leadership across project teams.

Qualified candidates typically have a minimum of 5 years of professional mechanical design experience for new construction or renovation projects, and a ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional mechanical engineering design experience for new construction and renovations.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Knowledge of DoD/Navy specs and ASME/BPVC/ASHRAE/SMACNA/IPC/IBC standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical design for plumbing, HVAC, and associated systems.
• Develop engineering designs and plans for complex mechanical utility systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards across NAVFAC projects.
• Lead teams and coordinate work with other disciplines.
