Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas. You will review design and construction documents, evaluate mechanical systems, and assist in commissioning activities to ensure contract, code, and project objectives are met.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, at least three years of commissioning experience, and strong writing and coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.
• Minimum of three years of building commissioning experience.
• PE license preferred.
• Army Corps of Engineers or other federal project experience preferred.
• Experience reviewing HVAC, plumbing, controls, and other mechanical building systems.

Responsibilities

• Review QA work for technical accuracy and provide guidance on plans and codes.
• Review contractor schedules for sound construction methodology and contract compliance.
• Inspect mechanical systems and support commissioning activities on projects.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, and contract criteria for project completion.
• Support LEED design and sustainability requirements.
