Job summary

CAE USA Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop and apply engineering design methods for flight simulator systems and related training devices. You will use CAD tools and implement customer specifications in a project-driven environment.

This role emphasizes mechanical design, modeling, and collaboration with manufacturing and suppliers. A B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience are required; US citizenship and DoD clearance eligibility are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience or related industry.
• Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of Mechanical Engineering.
• Detail oriented with strong communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen due to government contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct technical activities of small to medium scale programs.
• Support evaluations of training devices and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing on deliverables.
• Participate in installations and final sell-off of training devices.
• Lead training device from requirements to acceptance.
• Review technical specs for bids and propose design/manufacturing solutions.
• Undertake independent studies, analyses and conclusions.
• Develop products using parametric CAD and interpret customer specs.
• Collaborate with peers and management for efficient engineering delivery.
• Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.
