Job summary

CAE USA is seeking a Simulator System Architect to lead end-to-end architecture for high-fidelity flight and maintenance training systems, spanning avionics, flight dynamics, and mission systems. The role drives MBSE, model-based design, and digital thread governance across development lifecycles.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, cybersecurity, and certification teams to ensure scalable, safe, and certifiable training environments that meet DoD requirements and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Degree required in aerospace, computer, electrical, or related field.
• 10+ years in simulation, avionics, or real-time systems engineering; 3+ in leadership/architect role.
• Experience with flight dynamics, avionics modeling, and simulation architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture development for aircraft and mission system simulations.
• Develop and maintain models for requirements, behavior, interfaces, and verification.
• Define architectures integrating avionics, flight dynamics, networks, and C4ISR.
• Collaborate with SMEs, software/hardware engineers to ensure scalable sims.
• Support trade studies and design decisions for fidelity and interoperability.
• Ensure architecture complies with safety, cybersecurity, and DoD specs.
• Mentor staff in MBSE, digital model governance, and design processes.
• Engage in customer engagements, design reviews, and program planning.
• Create and curate digital architecture artifacts across the lifecycle.
• Guide design decisions to align with business goals and roadmap.
