Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to support Energy Solutions across multiple offices including Baltimore MD, Fairfax, Richmond VA, Boston MA, and California.

The role targets engineers with HVAC design and commissioning backgrounds who can lead project phases, develop opportunities, and engage clients. A base salary range is provided and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 0-3 years of experience with an Energy Services company OR a consulting engineering/commissioning firm is preferred.
• Base salary ranges by location: Fairfax VA/Baltimore MD/CA/MA $75k–$90k.
• Richmond VA $65k–$80k.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present project opportunities to potential clients.
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
• Conduct site visits, audits, and energy calculations for projects.
• Review drawings and specifications for engineering design quality.
• Assist bidding to ensure quality and competitive outcomes.
• Support contract administration and construction phase coordination.
• Coordinate with construction manager for a smooth build process.
• Commission installed systems to validate performance.
• Assist clients during warranty periods and M&V reporting.
