Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy Solutions team in Baltimore MD, Fairfax, Richmond VA, Boston MA, and California. The successful candidate thrives on client service, has the technical background to lead project phases, and is eager to grow within a fast‑growing engineering firm.

Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 depending on location, with eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
• 0–3 years of experience with an Energy Services company or a consulting/commissioning firm is preferred.
• Strong foundation in HVAC design and energy performance is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Support project opportunities from conception to completion.
• Assist with site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
• Review drawings and specifications for engineering design.
• Support bidding, contract administration, and project scheduling.
• Assist commissioning of installed systems to verify performance.
• Collaborate with M&V team to develop reports.
