CMTA, a Legence company, is looking for an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to help in our Energy Solutions offices in Baltimore MD, Fairfax and Richmond VA, Boston MA, and California. The role supports performance contracting, HVAC design, commissioning, and energy calculations, with opportunities to lead project phases and develop client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
• 0–3 years of experience with an Energy Services company or a consulting/commissioning firm preferred.
• Strong interest in HVAC design, energy calculations, and building performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present project opportunities to potential clients.
• Support client meetings, industry events, and proposal development.
• Lead project development including site visits, audits, and energy calculations.
• Review drawings and specifications for engineering design accuracy.
• Assist bidding processes to ensure quality and competitiveness.
• Support contract administration and coordinate with construction teams.
• Validate performance with commissioning of installed systems.
• Assist clients during warranty and post‑installation phases.
• Collaborate with M&V professionals to develop reports.
