Job summary

Front Door Defense is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead end-to-end mechanical design for electromechanical actuators in aerospace/defense. Based in Saginaw, MI, you will design production hardware and test equipment, shaping solutions for high-reliability applications.

You'll collaborate across teams to develop requirements, select contract manufacturers, and ensure PCBAs and electronics enclosures are integrated smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 2+ years of end-to-end design experience from ideation to production.
• Experience with NX CAD or similar CAD tools.
• Knowledge of designing for electrical enclosures, DFM, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Design production hardware and test equipment.
• Perform design analysis of electromechanical systems.
• Develop design requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Select and manage contract manufacturers for manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate on PCBAs and electronics enclosures.
