Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Staff Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical Actuation Systems, to lead end-to-end development and production of high-performance actuators for sea and air vehicle platforms. You’ll provide technical guidance, design for manufacturability, and robust process controls in demanding environments.

You will mentor engineers, drive DFM/A, and establish comprehensive test methods and documentation to ensure reliability and producibility across the manufacturing value chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive manufacturing or design engineering experience with precision mechanical components or motion control systems.
• Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
• Experience delivering complex electromechanical hardware (actuators, robotics) in fast-paced environments.
• Deep expertise in MBOM creation, MES integration, and RCCA for actuator production.
• Hands-on experience with CAD/PLM tools (Siemens NX, Teamcenter).
• Able to physically manufacture hardware (machining, additive manufacturing, assembly).Must be a U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end manufacturing development and production of high-performance actuators.
• Lead DFMA/DFA feedback with Design Engineering for actuator components.
• Design and oversee tooling, jigs, and fixturing for actuator assembly and testing.
• Create robust, repeatable process flows for complex actuator assemblies.
• Define and optimize MBOMs and routings within MES/ERP for actuators.
• Develop comprehensive manufacturing documentation and QC plans.
• Develop test methods/equipment for actuator performance and environmental qualification.
• Mentor engineers and technicians during prototype builds and production validation.
