Performance Drone Works (PDW) in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to advance our next generation of tactical robotic systems. You will design, analyze, and refine electromechanical assemblies for drones and payloads, creating 3D CAD models, drawings, and test fixtures while moving designs from prototype to production. The ideal candidate holds a B.S.

in mechanical engineering, has hands-on fabrication skills, and collaborates across disciplines. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in design and development of electromechanical components and systems.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to produce production-ready drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical components and assemblies for drones, payloads, and supporting systems.
• Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and other documentation.
• Build, prototype, and test hardware to rapidly develop and refine designs.
• Plan and execute validation testing, analyze failures, and implement design improvements.
• Design test fixtures, jigs, and tooling to support engineering and manufacturing.
• Apply DFM, DFA, and tolerance analysis to create manufacturable designs.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality engineers.
• Support transition of new products from prototype to production.
