Job summary

Performance Drone Works (PDW) in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to drive manufacturability, production readiness, and scalable factory design for multiple sUAS platforms.

You will partner with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations to lead DFM/DFT, PFMEA, automation readiness, tooling, line layout, and ramp builds, delivering safe, high-quality, high-volume production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in electrical manufacturing supporting NPI and sustainment.
• Led DFM/DFT and PFMEA across cross-functional teams.
• Strong NP I industrialization experience including line readiness and ramp.
• Experience with high-volume, automated/test lines.
• Defined automation equipment requirements and URS criteria.
• Familiar with ERP/MES data and BOMs/routings.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience; strong communication.
• Eligible for U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide DFM/DFT input from concept to release for manufacturability.
• Lead optimization of electrical manufacturing and test processes.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and test procedures.
• Troubleshoot production issues; perform RCA and implement CAPA.
• Support development and sustainment of electrical test systems.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and suppliers on qualification.
• Identify automation opportunities for high-volume assembly.
• Define tooling, fixturing, and gaging for safe builds.
• Plan prototype, pilot, and ramp builds with line readiness.
• Drive 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, SMED for throughput and quality.
• Support cost and investment analyses; make/buy decisions.
