Performance Drone Works (PDW) in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Test Engineer, Electronics Manufacturing to lead electrical test system design for high-volume production of sUAS hardware. You will architect test fixtures for PCBAs, wiring harnesses, and subsystems, and own end-to-end lifecycle from concept to deployment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 8+ years designing electrical test systems for production and CM environments.
• Experience with electronic test hardware design including embedded systems.
• Experience developing, releasing and implementing electronic test solutions and processes (bed-of-nails, flying probe, ICT).
• Experience with microcontrollers and bootstrapping processes (SWD/JTAG).
• Knowledge of I2C, USB, CAN, Serial, SPI and their debugging/test procedures.
• Strong CAD skills for schematic capture and PCBA layout (Altium, Cadence).
• Experience with MES/PLM systems integration into electronics manufacturing test fixtures.
• Eligible to obtain/maintain U.S. Secret security clearance or higher.

Aufgaben

• Architect, design, and deploy electrical test systems for PCBAs, wiring harnesses, and subsystems in internal production and CM environments.
• Own full lifecycle of test fixtures: design, fabrication, validation, deployment, maintenance, continuous improvement.
• Develop test specification requirements, testing criteria, plans, and fixtures for design verification and validation.
• Perform hardware design tasks: architecture design, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and coordination with CM.
• Support PCBA test fixtures' emplacement, usage, maintenance, and repair with Production and CM teams.
• Facilitate external PCBA manufacturing processes including conformal coating and secondary processing.
• Identify and mitigate PCBA part availability risks; engage procurement for substitutions and risk management.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing to validate PCBA release packages and ensure a stable CM pipeline.
• Analyze production data to drive yield improvements and identify failure trends for test systems.
