Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support complex cleanroom and advanced manufacturing facility projects from concept through startup. You will design HVAC, exhaust, chilled water, boiler, and process utilities, perform calculations, size equipment, and produce documents using AutoCAD and Revit.

You will collaborate with project managers, discipline leads, clients, contractors, and other engineering teams to manage design changes, ensure constructability, safety, and schedule goals across

Qualifications

• ABET‑accredited B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering design for cleanroom, fab, and advanced technology facilities.
• Develop design calculations, equipment sizing, and system layouts for HVAC, exhaust, and process utilities.
• Perform detailed mechanical system calculations (load analysis, airflow, pump hydraulics).
• Prepare and coordinate drawings using AutoCAD and Revit to project standards.
• Support system analysis and hydraulic modeling for pressure drop and flow balance.
• Coordinate with architects, process engineers, and other teams to integrate systems.
• Participate in design reviews, QA/QC checks, and clash detection using Navisworks.
• Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and verify vendor data against design intent.
