Job summary

SSOE Group's Advanced Technology division is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design for cleanroom, fab, and advanced technology facilities in Scottsdale. You will develop HVAC and mechanical systems from concept through construction and startup, using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to deliver code-compliant, constructible solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients and vendors, review submittals and field conditions, and contribute to QA/QC, ensuring design

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in mechanical engineering.
• Active PE license or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Mechanical design experience in semiconductor/cleanroom facilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks for design and BIM coordination.
• Strong leadership, QA/QC, and client coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for cleanroom, fab, and tech projects through construction.
• Develop HVAC systems including AHUs, VAV, chillers, boilers, exhaust.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and vendors on scope and changes.
• Perform design calculations, sizing, pressure drops, and code reviews.
• Prepare construction documents and BIM coordination with Navisworks.
• Review submittals, RFIs, field conditions, and manage design changes.
