Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Boise to lead mechanical design for cleanroom, fab, and advanced technology facilities. You will shape HVAC systems, coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors, and guide project teams from concept through startup.

You will use AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to ensure constructible, code-compliant solutions while mentoring junior staff and contributing to QA/QC practices. A PE license or reciprocity within six months is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• PE license or ability to obtain via reciprocity within six months; responsible charge of mechanical design.
• Experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, fab, or advanced technology manufacturing facilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for mechanical design and BIM coordination, including Navisworks clash detection.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for cleanroom, fab, and advanced technology projects from planning through startup.
• Develop HVAC and mechanical designs including AHUs, VAV, chillers, boilers, exhaust, and pump hydraulics.
• Perform design calculations, sizing, pressure drop, loads, and coordination to ensure code-compliant, energy-conscious solutions.
