Job summary

Valley Rubber in Falkville, Alabama, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to complete assigned design tasks on Engineered Solutions Group projects and contribute to engineering processes, documentation, and release activities within the department.

You will act as project engineer and product designer using CAD tools, plan completion dates, provide field support, review designs, and coordinate with production and customers to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years' mechanical design experience with CAD.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor, FEA, and laser/LIDAR scanning.
• Hands-on involvement in build and installation phases.

Responsibilities

• Act as project engineer and product designer for assigned projects.
• Plan and provide completion dates for engineering work.
• Provide or guide field support for project assignments.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and core values.
• Lead design reviews and manage documentation releases.
• Perform designs from concept to final documentation, including ERP entries.
• Coordinate with production teams, customers and contractors.
• Create installation plans and support customers during installation.
