Job summary

HDR is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design team through schematic design, development, and contract documentation for commercial and institutional buildings in the United States. The role includes coordinating with agencies for code compliance, managing workloads, and participating in site reviews with the Project Manager and other disciplines.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with PE license, and has experience with MS Office, Trane TRACE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with commercial or institutional buildings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the mechanical design team's work through schematic design and contract document phases.
• Establish meetings and participate in code reviews for compliance.
• Coordinate workload to meet project schedules.
• Conduct site work sessions with Project Manager and other disciplines.
• Review mechanical documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Write/edit mechanical specifications and select equipment/systems.
• Provide construction contract administration as needed.
• QA/QC on work of other Mechanical staff.
