Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in New Jersey to support design, coordination, and construction administration of mechanical and plumbing systems for commercial and institutional facilities.

The role involves evaluating equipment using fan and pump curves, performing psychrometric calculations for HVAC, and developing ductwork and piping diagrams while coordinating controls interfaces with controls engineers. PE-licensed candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Experience designing mechanical systems for commercial or institutional buildings.
• Experience with engineering consulting firms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design, coordination, and construction administration of mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate workload to meet deadlines and participate in site work sessions.
• Write and edit mechanical specifications and review documents for conflicts.
