Jacobs in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to tackle complex challenges and deliver robust building systems solutions, including HVAC, chilled and heating water, and process exhaust.

You will coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams from preliminary design through site construction, provide on-site startup support, and grow with mentorship in a global engineering leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of practical application of mechanical engineering design in building systems (HVAC, chilled and heating water, plumbing).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams from preliminary design through site construction.
• Ability to work onsite (hybrid) two days per week in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks.
• Gain familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget and schedule.
• Provide on-site startup assistance, coordinating work with staff and discipline lead.
• Deliver design, development, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered building systems and products.
