Jacobs in the United States is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our building systems team across Pittsburgh, PA and Albany, NY. You will design and deliver HVAC, chilled and heating water, and related systems, ensuring schedule and technical quality while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

This role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 2+ years of field experience, and onsite work two days per week in Pittsburgh, with hybrid flexibility across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• At least 2 years of practical design experience in building systems (HVAC, piping).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams from design through site construction.
• Ability to work onsite (hybrid) two days per week in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Manage schedule and ensure technical quality of engineering tasks.
• Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate activities with staff and discipline lead.
• Deliver design, development, evaluation, and specification of HVAC and building systems.
• Collaborate across disciplines to meet client expectations and project constraints.
