Job summary

QC Conveyors, a Duravant Company, seeks a Mechanical Engineer in Batavia, NY to design conveyor systems for automated manufacturing environments. You will develop 3D CAD models, prepare drawings, and generate BOMs for new and existing products.

Collaborating with Sales, Production, and suppliers, you will help bring prototypes from concept to test, interpret GD&T per ANSI Y14.5, and ensure accuracy and manufacturability across office and shop floor settings.

Qualifications

• BSME/BSMET or associate degree with 5-10 years in 3D solid modeling of mechanical components.
• Proficient in GD&T and ANSI Y14.5 for drawings and tolerancing.
• Ability to work in both office and production environments with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop basic 3D CAD models and layouts for new and existing products.
• Prepare and modify drawings and BOMs using established standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for components and materials.
• Support sales with technical information and project requests.
• Assist with setup and assembly of conveyor systems and prototypes for testing.
