Job summary

Fortify Technical Staffing is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in New York to prepare contract documents and specs for complex building systems. The role covers design, calculations, analysis, project management, and field/construction coordination.

The candidate will perform HVAC design, ductwork and piping sizing, equipment sizing and energy modeling across diverse project types, working in a hybrid setting with in-office and remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or similar

OVERVIEW

The Mechanical Engineer will work on preparing contract documents and specs for complex building systems. The ideal Candidate will be tasked with design, calculations, analysis, project management, and field/ construction coordination activities.

• Ductwork, piping, sizing, fan, pumps, air and water flow, SD, DD, CD
• Equipment sizing and calculations, load calculations, systems applications, Energy modeling

REQUIRED/ HIGHLY PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or similar
• REVIT, Trane Trace or HAP or IES VE Energy Modeling software
