• Permanent position for a Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC and building automation systems on projects involving design and construction of innovative, highly sustainable, and high performance buildings.
• Position is with a leading NYC (midtown) MEP design engineering consulting firm.
• Complete profitable projects on schedule for high quality mechanical HVAC system construction.
• Conceptualize mechanical HVAC systems and communicate design options to project stakeholders.
• Develop building automation system (BAS) controls and sequences of operation.
• Prepare mechanical technical specifications.
• Develop new client relationships with on site-visits and by attending industry events.
• Conduct presentations to clients and staff and at industry events.
• Mentor, train, and develop staff.
• Responsible for project quality control.
• BS Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC design and project management.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• LEED Accreditation required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Experience with engineering calculations and performance simulation software.
