Mechanical Engineer - Magnolia, TX (Hybrid)

Primary Duties
- Draft precise construction documentation and technical schematics for mechanical building systems.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring rigorous quality control and seamless coordination.
- Assist in construction administration tasks to ensure projects are executed successfully.
- Help maintain project momentum by providing technical oversight across multiple concurrent assignments.
- Verify that all design intentions are clearly and accurately reflected in final construction documents.
- Foster strong partnerships by working closely with clients, contractors, and diverse project teams.
- Review designs against regulatory requirements to ensure full adherence to industry standards.
- Utilize your organizational and leadership capabilities to drive project success.
- Travel to various domestic job sites as necessary to support project needs.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- Current Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.
- At least 5 years of professional experience focused on MEP design.
- Skilled in using BIM and drafting tools such as Revit and AutoCAD.
- Background in creating blueprints and layouts for HVAC, hydronic heating, chilled water, steam, and industrial plumbing systems.
- Capacity to act as the Lead Mechanical Engineer for complex projects.
- Deep knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, machine design, fluid power, and material selection.
- Proven history of delivering effective construction support.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective team collaboration.
- Thorough understanding of U.S. building codes, including IMC, UMC, ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1, 62.2, IPC, and IBC.
- Practical experience in the field or in construction support roles.
- Demonstrated success in managing engineering projects.
- Experience in calculating design efforts and estimating mechanical costs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with project delivery models like Design-Build, CMAR, CM/GC, and EPC.
- Experience in forecasting the effort required for mechanical design tasks.
- Background in evaluating the installation costs for mechanical systems.
