Job summary

PrideNow in Fremont, CA, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, test, and document high‑precision semiconductor etch capital equipment. You will work on mechanical systems, packaging, and feasibility studies, with hands-on prototyping and collaboration across diverse teams.

The ideal candidate has a BS/MS/PhD in mechanical engineering, semiconductor experience, strong CAD skills (NX, SolidWorks, Pro/E), and experience with FEA, tolerance analyses, and vacuum design.

• Provide design information to drafting for documentation of the work

Job description

• Familiarity with working in a chemical laboratory.
• Experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques.
• In-dept understanding and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ability to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs and deadlines.
• Excellent people skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams, customers, internal and external partners.

• Candidate will be responsible for design, testing, and documentation of complex high precision semiconductor etch capital equipment.

• Strong CAD modeling abilities (NX, Pro E, Solidworks experience all fine). Client uses NX so this is a plus
• Strong technical skills
• Understanding of material properties and machining rules of thumb for aluminum, plastics and brittle materials (Ceramics, quartz, etc.)
• Vacuum environment design experience (o-ring, vacuum fittings, helium leak check)
• Finite Element analysis (Thermal and Structural)
• Understanding of heating and cooling systems
• Tolerance stack analysis
• Reliability testing
• Statistical analysis and data presentation

Education

Required Degree: Mechanical Engineering (BS,MS,PHD all considered)
