Titan Search Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a growing food manufacturer near Columbus, GA to raise equipment uptime, sharpen maintenance strategy, and cut unplanned stoppages at its production plant. You will blend data, engineering judgment, and hands-on coaching with operations and maintenance crews to boost safety, output, and cost control.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supervising maintenance or production, ideally in TPM settings.
• Engineering degree or substantial equivalent experience is preferred.
• Solid mechanical and manufacturing knowledge with statistics and predictive maintenance exposure.

Mechanical Engineer

A growing food manufacturer near Columbus, GA is seeking a floor-focused Mechanical Engineer to raise equipment uptime, sharpen maintenance strategy, and cut unplanned stoppages at its production plant. You will blend data, engineering judgment, and hands-on coaching with operations and maintenance crews to boost safety, output, and cost control.

What you will do

• Own the site's maintenance planning, scheduling, and breakdown reduction routines
• Manage PM plans for assigned zones, covering criticality ranking, PM quality, tracking, and follow-through
• Build dashboards for MTBF, MTTR, OEE, and unplanned downtime to report results and projects
• Lead investigations into breakdowns and teach teams to find root causes and update standards
• Coach and audit centerline, clean-inspect-lube, and defect handling standards, guiding early autonomous maintenance steps
• Assess equipment design, recommend reliability upgrades, and benchmark against sister plants

What you bring

• At least 3 years supervising maintenance or production, ideally in a mature TPM setting
• Engineering degree preferred, or substantial equivalent experience
• Expert mechanical and manufacturing knowledge, plus working skill in statistics and predictive maintenance tools
• Background in autonomous or preventive maintenance programs and tiered operational reviews
• Strong coaching, communication, and project management ability with people at every level
