Job summary

Omya is seeking a skilled Mechanical/Electrical Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical plant equipment in our Kansas production facilities. You will diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support instrumentation and drive control systems to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree or equivalent industrial maintenance experience, with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to read

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with industrial equipment, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and process controls.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong computer and documentation skills.
• 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Welding, pipefitting, millwright, or fabrication experience.
• Instrumentation, VFDs, and manufacturing process equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and optimize production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
• Perform equipment inspections, rebuilds, retrofits, and preventive maintenance.
• Support process instrumentation, drives, and control systems.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records.
• Train and support team members on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Follow all plant safety and environmental standards.
