Job summary

Omya is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical plant equipment to support safe, efficient production operations.

The role involves reading electrical diagrams and schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting instrumentation and control systems in a manufacturing environment. On-call availability and adherence to safety standards are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with industrial equipment, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and process controls.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong computer and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and optimize production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
• Perform equipment inspections, rebuilds, retrofits, and preventive maintenance.
• Support process instrumentation, drives, and control systems.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records.
• Train and support team members on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Follow all plant safety and environmental standards.
