Job summary

Cintal, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical CAD Drafter with 2 years of drafting experience to develop and update drawings for equipment-based components. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure designs meet project requirements and company standards.

The role requires proficiency in 3D parametric CAD tools (Creo preferred, SolidWorks, Inventor) and GD&T per ASME Y14.5. This on-site position in Rapid City offers competitive benefits and visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• 2 years of mechanical drafting experience.
• 2-year technical degree in CAD.
• Experience with 3D parametric drafting/modeling software (PTC Creo preferred, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor).
• Proficiency in applying Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing on drawings per ASME Y14.5. standards.

Responsibilities

• Review project scope, status, and deadlines with the project team leader daily.
• Create/update drawings in accordance with engineering guidance and standards.
• Interface with project engineers to address scope questions.
• Complete projects in a timely manner aligned with engineer expectations.

JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

• Works with project team leader daily to review projects scope, status, and deadlines
• Responsible for creating and/or updating part or assembly drawings in accordance with engineering guidance and engineering standards and specifications.
• Interface with project engineers to address any questions pertaining to project scope requirements.
• Complete projects in a timely manner in alignment with project engineer’s expectations

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This role helps contribute to product quality by to ensuring the information necessary to successfully manufacture and assemble components are applied on our drawings through extensive teamwork and collaboration with the engineering team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Years of experience: 2 years of experience required.
• Degree requirement: 2-year technical degree in CAD

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Prior mechanical drafting experience (preferably for equipment based mechanical components)
• experience with 3D parametric drafting/modeling softwares (ex. PTC Creo-preferred, Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor)
• Proficiency in application of Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing on drawings (specifically related to ASME Y14.5 standards)
