Job summary

Pride Global in Fremont, CA is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support Facilities, Engineering, Construction and Operations teams. The role focuses on maintaining accurate CAD drawings, site plans, and as-built records, with strong AutoCAD proficiency and document-control skills.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years AutoCAD design/drafting experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD including CAD standards, layer management, block attributes, external references, and drawing quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, engineering, construction, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with document control, drawing management, or facilities documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Bluebeam.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and support multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Design, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update architectural, electrical, mechanical, piping, P&ID, I&C, evacuation, fire/life-safety, and facility drawings.
  • Update CAD drawings and as-built documentation based on engineering changes, project closeout files, sketches, layouts, and field measurements.
  • Perform field audits and site walkthroughs to verify drawing accuracy and update records based on actual conditions.
  • Maintain document repositories, revision histories, filing systems, permits, and closeout documentation.
  • Review incoming CAD files and correct layers, drawing standards, block attributes, and other drafting requirements.
  • Create and modify detailed drawings for equipment installations, laboratories, manufacturing areas, and facility projects.
  • Update electrical panel schedules and single-line diagrams based on approved field changes.
  • Support document requests by searching repositories and providing accurate information to stakeholders.
  • Gather and review drawings and equipment templates for plotting and installation activities.
  • Support integration of CAD and facility documentation with Facilities Management/Work Order systems.
  • Ensure documents are properly created, revised, approved, stored, and distributed in accordance with document control procedures.
  • Manage multiple priorities and collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Facilities, and other stakeholders.

Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience with TRIRIGA or other Facilities/Work Order Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, panel schedules, and single-line diagrams.
  • Experience with field verification, as-built documentation, and project closeout.
