Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Richland, WA is seeking a Mechanical Drafter to design one-of-a-kind equipment such as gloveboxes, precision furnaces, hot cells, and pressure vessels, and to develop 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks. You will contribute to multi-discipline projects under the Mechanical Project Lead.

The role requires an Associate's Degree or equivalent, 3+ years drafting experience, and the ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance.
• Three or more years of drafting experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks or similar to produce 2D/3D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop 2D and 3D drawings for special-purpose equipment (gloveboxes, furnaces, hot cells, pressure vessels).
• Coordinate and deliver design packages under the Mechanical Project Lead.
• Interface with engineering and design teams across disciplines.
