Job Juncture seeks a 2D Mechanical Drafter/Engineer for a direct-hire, on-site role in Washington County, WI. You will draft custom industrial equipment, generate BOMs, and collaborate with shop floor teams to ensure drawings align with capabilities.

The position requires a BS in Mechanical Eng. and 3+ years of 2D AutoCAD experience in manufacturing. Expect a stable, low-stress environment with clear growth toward Lead Engineer as the company expands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related four-year engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of 2D AutoCAD drafting in a manufacturing plant.
• Experience with heavy industrial equipment, sheet metal, ductwork, piping, heat transfer or fluid dynamics.
• Design-for-manufacturability mindset considering welder access and tolerances.
• Stable work history with reliable performance.
• Residence within a 45-minute drive of Washington County, WI.

Responsabilités

• Draft and design customized industrial thermal systems and environmental control equipment using 2D AutoCAD.
• Create fabrication layouts, structural assembly schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with shop floor supervisors, welders, and machinists to ensure design specs match capabilities.
• Develop supporting 3D renderings as needed for reviews and space constraints.
• Manage design lifecycles across core product lines and satisfy performance requirements.
• Refine legacy drawings to improve material yield and reduce cycle times.
