Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a motivated Mechanical Designer I to support the development of mechanical layouts, drawings, and construction documentation for power generation, renewable energy, BESS, data centers, substations, transmission, and industrial infrastructure projects.

This entry-level role works under the guidance of senior engineers and designers to produce high-quality technical deliverables that support EPC project execution from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design or related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in mechanical drafting or design preferred.
• Internship or co-op in EPC, industrial, power gen, or manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing mechanical design deliverables for power generation, renewables, BESS, data centers, and industrial projects.
• Prepare and revise equipment layouts, general arrangement and piping drawings.
• Develop 3D models and support model coordination and clash detection.
• Assist in field verification activities and updating drawings per field feedback.
• Support preparation of construction packages and submittals.
