Job summary

Henderson Engineers in Phoenix seeks a mid to experienced Mechanical Designer with HVAC specialization to contribute across Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue sectors. You’ll support refrigeration design needs and collaborate with Henderson Building Solutions for client delivery.

The role involves designing systems, reviewing drawings, coordinating with partners, and advancing your skills in Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office within a growing firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field and 3 years of experience, or 6 years without degree.
• PE license may count toward 1 year of direct experience.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Bluebeam Revu.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and HVAC design software (IESVE, Trane Trace).

Responsibilities

• Performs calculations and designs basic to advanced engineering systems with a high degree of independence.
• Prepares basic to advanced mechanical system layouts, drawings, and schematics.
• Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs.
• Performs research and recommends feasibility of systems or equipment.
• Assist with business development and pursuit activities.
• Learn and use industry software (Revit, Bluebeam Revu, MS Office).
• Support project coordination: emails, scope/schedule, client meetings, quality, questions.
• Act as a training/mentoring resource when needed.
