Job summary

Henderson Engineers seeks a mid to experienced Mechanical Designer specializing in HVAC design to contribute across multiple market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail and Venue.

Responsibilities include designing mechanical systems, producing layouts and drawings, reviewing shop drawings, evaluating equipment feasibility, and supporting client relations while advancing industry software skills like Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years without degree; PE may count toward 1 year.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu is required; strong CAD and HVAC design software experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and HVAC tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Performs calculations and designs basic to advanced mechanical systems.
• Prepares layouts, drawings and schematics for mechanical systems.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs.
• Evaluates products for application and feasibility of systems or equipment.
• Supports business development and client pursuit activities.
