Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a mid to senior Mechanical Designer with HVAC specialization to contribute across six market sectors including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail and Venue. The role supports refrigeration design and integrates with Henderson Building Solutions for a superior client experience.

Qualified candidates have a mechanical engineering background, proficiency in CAD/HVAC tools, and a PE considered toward experience.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical, electrical, fire protection or architectural engineering with experience; PE can count toward experience.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu at least at an intermediate level.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and HVAC design software (IESVE, Trane Trace).

Responsibilities

• Performs calculations and designs mechanical systems with independence.
• Prepares layouts, drawings, and schematics for mechanical systems.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specs.
• Assists with business development and client coordination.
• Learns industry software and supports project coordination tasks.
• Acts as a resource for training and mentoring others.
