Job summary

HDR is seeking a Mechanical Designer/EIT to support the coordination of mechanical aspects across commercial and institutional projects. You will write specifications, develop HVAC loads, and assist with BIM documentation and construction drawings.

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering is required, with experience in CAD/BIM tools. Local candidates preferred; full-time on-site in Philadelphia. EIT encouraged for career progression within HDR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field required.
• Experience with CAD and BIM tools for mechanical design preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projects.
• Perform routine mechanical engineering assignments using standard techniques.
• Write and edit mechanical specifications and select systems and devices.
• Develop HVAC loads and energy analysis using engineering software.
• Prepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design.
