Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation's JLG division is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to support the Customer Support Engineering team on a range of projects, from routine tasks to complex analytical work. The role offers exposure to Creo Parametric and cross-functional collaboration with global engineering resources.

The intern will design and test mechanical systems, assist in ECN and BOM updates, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing and operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work on cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Creo Parametric or other CAD tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, model and test mechanical systems that integrate with JLG products.
• Support manufacturing, supply chain and operations with CIRs.
• Prepare and review vehicle component layouts using CAD.
• Create and manage ECNs using PLM.
• Update BOMs in the PDM system to reflect product changes.
• Assist on prototype, pilot or production builds on the shop floor.
• Generate engineering calculations (weight, stress, performance).
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to solve problems.
• Perform or assist in testing of complete vehicles or components.
