Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation seeks a student in Mechanical Engineering to assist design engineers with mechanical engineering tasks in the Design Team. You will learn JLG engineering processes, tools, and hydraulic systems for booms and scissors.

You will prepare vehicle component layouts with Creo, study hydraulic schematics, and generate relevant calculations while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams. This role blends office work with field activities.

Qualifications

• Student working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field.
• Must be able to shift between detailed cognitive work and some physical tasks.
• Must be able to work in both office and field environments and adapt to varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle component layouts using Creo and other CAD software.
• Read and understand hydraulic schematics for boom and scissor models.
• Generate engineering calculations of flow, pressure, performance estimations, etc.
• Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions to problems.
• Perform or assist in the testing of complete vehicles or vehicle components.
