Job summary

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join the NPD Booms team on a range of projects from simple tasks to analytical studies. You will design, model and test mechanical systems, and work with global engineering resources to refine layouts and assemblies.

You will use Creo Parametric and other CAD tools, update BOMs, and support prototype, pilot, or production builds with technical input. A strong foundation in mechanical design and communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with CAD tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, model and test mechanical systems for JLG Access Equipment.
• Research and execute on continuous improvement requests for manufacturing and operations.
• Prepare/revise vehicle component layouts with CAD tools.
• Create and manage ECNs using the PLM system.
• Update bill of materials to reflect product changes.
• Provide technical assistance on prototypes and production builds.
• Generate calculations for weight distribution and stress analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to solve problems.
