Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh Corporation company, invites engineering students to join a summer internship in Bradenton, FL. You will assist engineers and designers with design tasks to ensure smooth operations within the engineering department.

The role focuses on creating 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering change notices using CATIA or other CAD tools, while learning SOPs and drafting standards.

Qualifications

• Student working towards an Associate's degree in Mechanical Design or engineering related field for entire duration of internship.
• Experience with CATIA or other CAD design software.
• Ability to use Imperial and Metric measurements and read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering 3D models, 2D drawings, and/or electrical schematic preparation using CAD software.
• Create Bills of Material to support production and/or new product development.
• Create Engineering Change Notices to release new or revised models and drawings.
• Assist with the material selection for engineered parts.
• Conforms to Standard Operating Procedures, CAD procedures and drafting standards, and department work instructions and policies.
