Job summary

You will work full-time in summer and part-time during the school year, use ERP to create part numbers, prepare BOMs and schematics, and coordinate with suppliers. Pay range is $18.00–$37.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Student working towards an Associate’s degree in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, or related field for entire duration of internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater and high attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work full-time in summer.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and designers with design tasks to ensure smooth flow of operations within the electrical engineering department.
• Utilize ERP systems to create part numbers following proper naming and data entry requirements.
• Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics that conform to drafting standards.
• Assist in preparing ECN documents based on BOMs and design layouts.
• Address component obsolescence of purchased electrical parts.
• Ensure smooth flow of operations by optimizing designs for manufacturing efficiency.
• Maintain electrical system BOMs based on standards and collaborate with suppliers.
• Maintain knowledge of JDE, PULSE, Domino, and Microsoft Office.
