Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, seeks an intern to assist engineers and designers in the engineering department. You will help create 3D models, 2D drawings, and electrical schematics, and support BOM creation and engineering change notices.

You will work within SOPs, CAD procedures, and drafting standards, contributing to material selection and ensuring design accuracy with attention to detail in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Student working towards an Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design or related area for entire duration of internship.
• Experience with CATIA or other CAD design software.
• Ability to use and understand linear measurements, Imperial and Metric Systems, reading a tape measure and other measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering 3D models, 2D drawings, and/or electrical schematic preparation using computer aided design software.
• Create Bills of Material to support production and/or new product development.
• Create Engineering Change Notice as required to release new or revised models and drawings.
• Assist with the material selection for engineered parts.
• Conforms to Standard Operating Procedures, CAD procedures and drafting standards, and department work instructions and policies.
