Qualifications

• Student working towards an Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design or related area for the entire duration of internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Experience with CATIA or other CAD design software.
• Ability to read and apply linear measurements in Imperial and Metric systems; proficient with tape measures and measuring devices.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and designers with design tasks to ensure smooth flow of operations within the engineering department.
• Create engineering 3D models, 2D drawings, and/or electrical schematic preparation using CAD software.
• Create Bills of Material to support production and/or new product development.
• Create Engineering Change Notices as required to release new or revised models and drawings.
• Assist with material selection for engineered parts.
