Job summary

Astec, a global, environmentally focused infrastructure and manufacturing company, seeks an NPD Design Engineer to drive design from concept through production for washing and classifying equipment. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions, create 3-D CAD models, and support new product development activities at multiple sites, including the Yankton, SD area.

This role emphasizes collaboration, timely delivery, and applying engineering analyses to meet cost and performance

Qualifications

• Strong ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience documenting designs and calculations.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with MS Office; familiarity with ERP tools.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering for product development and improvements.
• Model with 3-D CAD and apply FEA to optimize solutions.
• Prepare drawings, specs, and documentation for production.
