Job summary

Astec is a global, environmentally focused infrastructure and manufacturing company. The Applications Engineer role in Yankton, SD will size, layout, and audit performance of material processing systems for customers in aggregates, mining, industrial and recycling markets.

You will respond to RFQ/RFP documents, manage sales opportunities from inquiry to proposal, and develop diagrams and quotations. Collaboration with product management, engineering, and service is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Mining, Geological or Industrial Engineering.
• AutoCAD/Inventor and 3D design software experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Size, layout, cost, and audit performance of material processing systems.
• Respond to RFQ/RFP with respect to equipment sizing, performance and terms.
• Manage MS Group sales opportunities from inquiry to post-sale follow-up.
• Develop process flow diagrams and equipment quotations.
• Advise customers on selection, application, and operation of MS Group products.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and service teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Mining, Geological or Industrial Engineering
