Job summary

Senergy Power Solutions, headquartered in St. Augustine, Florida, seeks a Mechanical Electrical Engineer III to design, sustain, and validate hybrid energy systems. This role emphasizes practical engineering, lab work, and hands-on implementation across the product lifecycle.

The engineer will document, model, and release designs, coordinate with electrical and manufacturing teams, and ensure manufacturability and reliability of solutions.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5-6+ years of mechanical engineering experience in product development, sustainment, manufacturing, or power electronics.
• Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools; familiar with SPICE and MATLAB.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Hands-on lab experience and ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design and sustain mechanical aspects of products related to power and control systems for renewable, hybrid, and ruggedized applications.
• Create 3D models, documentation updates, technical manuals, customer-facing documentation, and system-level mechanical designs.
• Balance performance, safety, environmental, and compliance considerations.
• Work on mechanical subassemblies within larger systems.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, production, supply chain, and quality teams.
