Job summary

Delta Systems & Automation LLC is seeking Mechanical Engineers to join our team. You will design the mechanical portion of machines based on requirements and equipment specifications that meet both business and customers' needs.

Responsibilities include designing frames, drive trains, BOMs, and coordinating with sales, production, and service. Proficiency in SolidWorks, machine design calculations, and FEA is expected, with some travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• BSME from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 4 years of post-secondary education in a Mechanical or related field.
• Experience in food processing and packaging preferred.
• Background in industrial automation is a plus.
• Knowledge of sensors, motors, and robotics.
• SolidWorks and FEA proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical portion of machines, including frames, drive train, and integration of components with ergonomic and safety concepts.
• Use momentum, inertia calculations, drive ratio, and servo sizing in designs.
• Create bills of materials (BOMs).
• Define and institute processes and standards for Engineering.
• Assist sales with packaging system concepts and support production assembly.
• Contribute to development and review of instruction documents.
• Assist service with technical questions and maintain safety standards.
• Communicate with coworkers on customer requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and uphold quality standards.
