Job summary

ProMach is seeking a mechanical design engineer to own the design of packaging machinery components and assemblies. You will model parts in SolidWorks/AutoCAD, generate drawings, and compile BOMs in Syteline ERP for smooth handoff to planning and manufacturing.

Excellent math, GD&T, and teamwork are essential as you interface with Sales, Production, and Aftermarket. You bring 4+ years of design experience, a Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, and strong skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar field.
• 4+ years’ experience in mechanical design and/or application engineering.
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience required.
• Experience with packaging machinery design and assembly principles.
• Strong math skills and use of engineering charts/tables.
• Familiarity with electrical sensors in machinery and EMS basics.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems; excellent communication.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and assemblies for packaging machinery.
• Create 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
• Prepare BOMs in Syteline ERP and handoff to planning/purchasing.
• Develop tight tolerances and GD&T compliant drawings.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, and Aftermarket on specs.
• Support manufacturing to ensure proper fabrication and testing.
• Revise drawings/parts and manage engineering change notices.
• Review project milestones and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.
