BW Packaging is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and document automated packaging machinery, develop layouts, BOMs, and 3D CAD models to meet safety and manufacturability requirements.

You will collaborate with controls, assembly, sourcing, and project management, support FAT/SAT, and drive improvements while complying with safety standards. Travel may be required domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in industrial equipment, automation, or packaging machinery.
• Strong proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and DFMA knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, and components for automated packaging equipment.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specs.
• Translate concepts into detailed mechanical designs and manufacturing documentation.
• Select components (pneumatics, motors, actuators, gearboxes) to meet performance and safety goals.
• Support FAT/SAT, debugging, validation, and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with Electrical Controls Engineers for integration and safety.
